The Restore-A-Deck deck stain stripper is the first and only concentrated powder formula specifically designed to be injected through a pressure washer. This tough acting stripper when injected will remove penetrating type transparent and semi-transparent wood stains. The RAD stain stripper can be mixed twice as strong if needed and applied with a pump sprayer. At the stronger rate RAD stain stripper can remove most stubborn transparent, semi-transparent, semi-solid and some semi-transparent acrylic stains and coating.
Prior to using RAD stain stripper find out what type of failing stain you are trying to remove. Find an old can of it and read the label if you do not remember. If the old stain is worn down and fading away it is most likely a transparent or semi-transparent stain. If the stain is peeling and flaking off it may be a solid film forming type or heavily applied acrylic. RAD stain stripper may not remove these types of stains or coatings.
If you are unfamiliar with the stripping power of RAD, it is best to mix some up and do a little test spot in an inconspicuous area. Apply the stripper and allow it to work for 5-10 minutes. Use a deck brush or pressure washer on the test area to see if the stain comes off.
As mentioned, RAD stain stripper will not remove solid colored stains or paints, or heavily applied acrylics. This is why it is important to use a stain that can be removed as buildup occurs during regular maintenance. Once a wood surface is coated with a heavily pigmented solid paint or stain that will not strip off, you are pretty much stuck with it. There are no products on the market that will remove such paints or stains like an acrylic solid color stain. Always be cautious when using strong chemicals. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses at all times.

If you prewet and rinse any over spray or cover the vegetation, you should be okay:
