My deck is about 9 months old but I’m unsure on how to prep, I have some grease stains from the bbq, do I need to strip the stained areas? Or will the cleaner remove the stains?
Has this been stained previously, or is it bare wood? It’s hard to tell from the picture. Grease or oil stains may not come out fully with the deck cleaner or stain stripper, as the grease oil can penetrate deeply. Sanding might not remove it either. If unstained/bare wood, we would suggest using our regular deck cleaner and brightener kit and then see if it comes out fully. If not, try a spot cleaner or degreaser after to see if that helps.
