TWP 100 Series Stain and Preservative is Rated the #1 Wood Stain/Sealer By Contractors
TWP 100 Total Wood Protectant Deck Stain protects and maintains all exterior wooden surfaces. TWP 100 is a special blend of chemicals in a contractor grade formula that safeguards and protects exterior wooden surfaces.
TWP 100 locks out water and moisture that causes wood to crack, split, and warp. Freeze damage is also prevented in cold climates.
TWP 100 Series Deck and Fence Stain Protects against U.V. Damage – Specialty absorbers prevent U.V. wood graying, discoloring, and weather fading. Wood is preserved for a long-lasting finish.
TWP Total Wood Protection against Wood Decay – Wood preservatives prevent wood structural damage and rot for above ground surfaces. Most essential on non-treated exterior wood surfaces.
TWP 100 Preservative is Mold and Mildew Resistant – Specially formulated mildewcides hinder the growth of discoloring causing mold and mildew.
- Available in 6 Colors and Clear (Clear does not offer UV Protection)
- Far better longevity on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- TWP is not a film former but a penetrating stain that will not peel.
- Top-rated professional choice for any exterior wood surface.
- Semi-transparent formula enhances natural wood color.
- Repels moisture and water absorption.
- Excellent color retention
Coverage:
- TWP 100 Stain can be expected to cover about 150-200 sq ft per gallon depending on wood porosity and age.
- For maximum protection two “wet on wet” coats are recommended. TWP stain products must get full penetration for optimal results.
I have a wrap around deck plus 3′ railings – toal 2200 sq ft of wood surface. I have just completed using your stripper process. Deck had no attention for over 8 years. Not a bad job but will need a solid stain. Will the twp 102 (redwood) cover those areas I am to lazy to sand? can it be purchased in less then 5 gal quanities? My calculations come to about 8 gallons
102 is a semi-trans and will not work. For solid stain, see here: https://www.restore-a-deck.com/restore-a-deck-wood-stain/restore-a-deck-solid-stain.html
You will need much more than 8 gallons for 2200 sq feet and two coats of a solid stain. 15-20 gallons.
do you offer test
samples of TWP colors
We do not from this website.
sent you pictures, does that help ?

I have patched old cedar deck previously stained with pressure treated boards. I would prefer a stain VS paint. What would give me the best even coverage over new and old? Is my only choice solid paint like or or can I use TWP 100 pro stain?
Post a picture or two of the deck.
Which approximates a black color, TWP Black Oak or Armstrong Espresso?
Neither will have a black color. Very Dark Brown for both of those colors.
I have 400 sq ft of redwood deck with about 80 ft of railing w/spindles. See picture. Also have two steps. How much stripper/brightener and TWP 102 redwood stain would I need? I have guessed about 1 ea stripper & brightener and 5 gal of TWP. Is that enough?
Yes. That amount should be what you need.
The price of one 5 gallon TWP-100 is the same as five 1 gallons. Is there any advantage to buying the one 5 gallon? I thought I would buy five 1 gallons, so I would have one spare if I only need four.
Free shipping on the 5-gallon pails. No free shipping on 5 single gallons. Thanks!
I found the answer to my other question about quantity. My other question is we want Prairie Gray but I don’t see that in the drop down color choice for TWP 100 when ordering.
It is added now.

For the TWP 100 is says coverage is 100-200 sq ft and coats required are 2 coats so does that mean that I need to double the sf of my deck to by enough to cover my deck in two coats?
